How it works

Whatever brings someone into therapy, the aim of psychotherapy is not to change or “fix” ourselves, but to understand and change the ways in which we relate to our own experience. What therapy and mindfulness share is an insistence that non-judgement provides an inherently healing way of relating with experience. By learning to be with our experience without fighting or trying to change it, we can begin to let go of conditioned patterns that may once have protected us, but that now stand in the way of connecting with satisfaction, freedom, and health.

The focus of my therapeutic inquiry is on helping clients to connect thoughts, dreams, ideas, and fantasies, with the felt sense of emotions as they arise within the body. Whether someone is coming to therapy for self-exploration, to reflect on experience, or for support with a particular challenge, working with embodied experience provides new ways of meeting ourselves and the world around us.

If you are interested in working with me, send me an email and we can arrange a 20-minute consultation to help decide if it is suitable for us to work together. If we agree to work together, we will organise 6 sessions, after which we will have a check-in to see whether we are both happy to continue with our work.

I have experience working with:

  • Anger and rage

  • Anxiety

  • Burn out

  • Chronic dissatisfaction

  • Depression

  • Feeling stuck

  • Insomnia

  • Lack of creativity

  • Loneliness, separation

  • Low self-esteem

  • Parental issues

The First Step

Our initial free consultation is a space to explore what is bringing you to therapy, and what you might expect from our work together. This will be a 20-minute meeting where we can establish a dialogue about the possibility of working together. If we decide to proceed, we will organise six sessions to establish a foundation of trust and understanding.

As a trainee psychotherapist, I am currently offering some client slots at a reduced rate of £40/hour
